One of the most anticipated moments of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMA)’s was the rumored Nsync reunion. While the reunion did take place as anticipated by many fans, the reunion as a whole was a bit of a disappointment.

When people heard the first rumors of an Nsync reunion they immediately began to wonder what songs the former pop group would perform. Perez Hilton reported that it would be a medley of hits. However, the performance was simply of “Bye, Bye, Bye”.

The boys did look good during their performance, but being that this was their first performance in 11 years, many had hoped it would last a bit longer. Also, Justin has performed a number of hits both before and after the Nsync reunion. Yahoo reports that Justin’s solo performances totaled over 15 minutes. The reunion seemed a bit force and like something they were doing because they had to do it for their fans, not because they actually wanted to do it.

Nsync’s reunion was reminiscent of Destiny’s Child’s super bowl reunion in which Beyonce allowed her former band mates a few minutes to join her but then took the spotlight back. It was good, but heart breaking for the fans who wanted more of a real Backstreet Boys or even 98 degrees style reunion.

Despite Joey Fatone’s lame attempt at covering up the Nsync reunion rumors, Perez Hilton is reporting that the reunion is DEFINITELY on! In fact, he even posted news about what the band is rumored to perform!

As I previously speculated, the Nsync reunion will become a part of Justin Timberlake accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The unnamed source confirming the reunion stated:
“They will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley. Then Justin will sing his new song Take Back the Night and get his [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.]”
Fans of Nsync sound like they are in for a real treat! I wonder if they’ll break out their signature doll chains for Bye, Bye, Bye. Ha!

Is or isn’t the Nsync reunion taking place at this Sunday’s MTV VMA’s?
Joey Fatone is siding with Lance Bass by saying that the MTV VMA reunion IS NOT happening! However, his recent arrival in NYC, home of MTV’S VMA’s days before the big event seems kind of suspicious!

When questioned about his arrival in NYC, Fatone claimed it was for his cousin’s surprise 40th Birthday party in Staten Island because clearly that is a much bigger deal than reuniting at the VMA’s. LOL!
Fatone was also asked about whether or not he would be at the VMA’S on Sunday night. His response was:
Why the hell would I attend? I mean, for Justin obviously, he’s getting the Vanguard Award, which is cool. We heard about that, and that’s when the rumors started flying about doing all this stuff. Why the hell would I attend? I mean, for Justin obviously, he’s getting the Vanguard Award, which is cool. We heard about that, and that’s when the rumors started flying about doing all this stuff. As far as I know. I haven’t gotten a phone call or anything. Just like his wedding. I didn’t get the phone call or the invite.
Ha his response sounds a bit bitter about not being invited to Justin’s wedding. However, it also sounds like he’s trying a bit too hard to keep the VMA reunion a secret. You might remember last year when Destiny’s Child was rumored to perform at the Super Bowl Michelle Williams tried to deny the rumors by stating that she was appearing in the musical Fela! the night of the super bowl and wouldn’t be able to make it. However, that was later proven to be a lie as Destiny’s Child did, in fact, reunite for the Super Bowl.

If we hear of other Nsync members (other than Justin of course) arriving in NYC we’ll known the reunion is on!
